Christine Sweet - Broadcasting As A Woman in the 1970s
Show Notes

Christine Sweet is a broadcaster who was one of the earliest women deejays in pop music and jazz and went on to a career in classical radio.  A love for music of all kinds led her into both public and commercial radio formats as an announcer, producer and on-air host, starting in the 1970s. She was the first woman on the air at a Top-40 AM station and has vivid memories of blazing that trail.

Highlight:  The guy who showed up in the lobby of the radio station declaring he was there to get married.
